The Best Robot Vacuum That Mops

Noah Pinsonnault is a product review analyst for the Home Care and Cleaning Lab at Good Housekeeping.

He tests and evaluates cleaning equipment. His focus is on mopping robots and vacuum combinations. Multitaskers are a great option for those looking to get mopping off their to-do list. They have impressive mapping and obstacle avoidance, and some wash and refill their own mopping pads to ensure a hands-free clean.

The Eufy S1 Pro

This is the model you need to choose if you want a robot vacuum cleaner that also mop. It is smaller than other models, making it more maneuverable in tight spaces or under furniture. It uses a 220 degree lidar that combined with its 3D Matrix camera system gives it the best navigation and object avoidance that I've ever seen in a robot vacuum. It packs a powerful 4600mAh battery which lasts up to 170-minutes, if mopping and suction are set to standard mode (it is able to run longer in turbo). It will even return to its dock to recharge its battery in mid-clean.

It's efficient and does an outstanding job cleaning my two-bedroom apartment. It cleans the carpeted rooms incredibly quickly and hardwood floors in the kitchen, living room, and hallways in a single sweep. Its 8,000pa suction motor will quickly pick up dirt, crumbs, and pet hair. Carpet detection increases power automatically when it encounters rugs and the two side brushes help draw out dirt from corners.

The mopping efficiency is less impressive, but not by a lot. The mop's rotating motor spins at a high velocity and it pushes down with 2.2lbs of force, easily scraping away dirt and staining. I've also noticed that the front arms extend out slightly more than other robots, which is useful to maneuver around tight corners and along baseboards. The same front arms can be used to clean up larger debris, like broken toys and fallen books.

Another good thing is that the S1 Pro is one of the quietest robot vacuums and mop I've tried. It doesn't create the same amount of noise while vacuuming or mopping and is much quieter than the Narwal Freo X Ultra or RoboRock S7. The S1 Pro is only limited by the fact that it must use a proprietary mopping solution and is sold separately. It's easy to install and is effective however this is something you'll have to keep an eye on when you purchase this vacuum for the sole reason of mopping.

The Roborock Q Revo

The Q Revo stands apart from the majority of robot vacuums which mops in its class. It is a powerful machine for cleaning with a wide range of features.

The device is equipped with an impressive and powerful cleaning system that integrates LiDAR sensors and an RGB camera to map the home and locate furniture and other obstacles. It then uses this information to clean efficiently and intelligently. This ensures a thorough and consistent clean, while also being relatively quick.

The Q Revo DuoRoller mop pad can reach a variety of surfaces. They can reach corners or baseboards, as well as other hard-to-reach areas. They also have a stretchy side brush that extends to reach the floor near walls and other fixtures. In addition the mop pads can be washed and dried to prevent build-up and reduce the smell.

Another noteworthy feature is the customization options that are available through apps. The Q Revo lets you alter the suction level and select an back-and-forth or random pattern. You can also alter the number of passes it should make, which will determine how quickly the device can traverse your home. You can even choose to turn off the side brush to prevent damaging rugs and carpets.

This device has a fairly expensive price tag, but it comes with a large selection of innovative features. It's important to remember that it carries recurring expenses in the form of mopping supplies and maintenance. For example, the brushroll will need to be replaced after 300 hours or every six to 12 months. The filter will need to be cleaned after 150 hours and the mop pad must be replaced every one to three months.

The robot vacuum that mops is rated highly on Amazon and offers a wide variety of physical automation features. The vacuum also has an energy button that doubles as the 'Clean button' as well as a 'Home' button to send it back home after cleaning. It also comes with a multi-functional dock that automatically empty the dustbin, refills its water tank and washes and dry its mop pads.

The Shark Matrix Plus

If you're a busy professional or someone who just wants to have a clean home without spending a lot of time on chores The Shark Matrix Plus is a solid option. Its incredibly fast performance, sophisticated navigation, and long battery life allow you to maintain a clean house with little effort.

The Matrix Plus is a 2-in-1 robot vacuum and mop, which means it is able to handle both vacuuming and mopping. The robot has two modules: a combined dry bin and water reservoir, and a separate mopping module with a microfiber pad that snaps into and out of position.  cheap robot vacuum cleaner 's a little old-fashioned to have separate modules for vacuuming and mopping, but it does mean that you don't have to fret about changing disposable bags or refilling the tank of water.

robot vacuum cleaner cheap  performed well at vacuuming and mopping. Its best feature is its precise floorplan map, which it uses when cleaning. This made it easy for the Matrix Plus to navigate around furniture, rugs, and other obstacles. The app also gives you the option of setting 'No-Go zones' and virtual barriers, which help to protect certain areas of your house from being cleaned with mop.

We also noticed that the Matrix Plus did surprisingly well in picking up pet hair. It was able to capture a large amount of hair our cats shed and even was able to get into the nooks and crevices of our stairs while other robots struggled. It was fairly quiet and even had some pleasant jingles that indicated when it was starting or completing its task.

Its main drawbacks were its lack of sophistication and the need to swap between the modules to switch between mopping and vacuuming. The app can't contain multiple maps, which could be a hassle for homes with a mix of floors. The Matrix Plus robot is a great choice for those who want a device that can vacuum and mop.

The Yiko X1 Omni

The X1 Omni robot vacuum is the most expensive in our review. It does however, have distinct features that make it worth looking into. The X1 Omni's biggest draw is its massive dock which serves as the robot's charging base and housing for two 4-liter water tanks, a cleaning sink, and an automatic 2.5-liter dust bin that is automatically eliminates.

The base also comes with a set of buttons to control the system. These allow you to start a cleaning task, recall the robot, or run the dock's auto-emptying process. Press two buttons to turn off the child lock.  robot vacuum cleaner cheap  is a wonderful feature for parents who are concerned about their children messing around with the vacuum.

Like other robotic vacuums the X1 Omni utilizes its camera to identify furniture and obstacles in its path and avoid them. Its True Mapping 2.0 navigation system can map your home 10 times faster than conventional laser detection systems and is four times more accurate at finding objects.

The X1 can be prone to get stuck if it gets entangled in a hazard, such as the power cable that is draped over a rug. It won't function until you untangle it manually. While this was rare however, it was a gruelling experience when it did happen particularly since the X1 Omni doesn't come with a "stuck" status alert on its app.

Another possible issue is the X1 Omni's inability to automatically change between vacuuming and mopping modes during the cleaning process. You will need to manually swap between the two, which isn't an issue aside from the fact that the mopping pads aren't cleaned and dried between use which could lead to mildew or mold.

On the positive side the X1 Omni is a beautiful-looking robot, thanks to the design team at Jacob Jensen (of Bang & Olufsen fame) who conceptualized its modern, sleek base and mopping pad. It's a big contrast to the basic black bases of competitors like Roborock or iRobot. And it's an impressive sight in an industry dominated by boxy units.
